NSPS Program Night:  Impressionism and Photography with Wendy and Russ Kwan

North Shore Unitarian Church
370 Mathers Avenue, West Vancouver
Free for Members, $10 for Visitors

The Impressionists were a renegade band of painters who invented a new way
of seeing and rendering life, light and the outdoors in the late 19th
century. Initially scorned by the art establishment, the Impressionists
have become perhaps the most influential and loved of all the art of their
era. Their most important gifts to us are their copious inventions. We
will take a close look at these technical innovations - it's not just a
bunch of blurry pictures - and see how these lessons apply to photography.
