CAPA Spring Print Competition: NSPS Winners

>

Congratulations!  Our club won the CAPA Spring Print Competition that was held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in March.

Our score was 145, 2nd place was London Camera Club with 144 and 3rd place was Langley Camera Club with 143.  As you can see, the competition was very close but it was very nice that we came out on top.  Congratulations, too, to Natalya Gunde who received a 3rd place honour for her individual score for “Wilson’s Warbler”.

Images were:
Jason Duncan – Whitman County Growers
Carol Coleman – Tuckamore Tree-Gros Morne
Michael Elkan – Carpet of Blue
Natalya Gunde – Wilson’s Warbler
Peter Holmes – Short-eared Owl at Sunset
Lenora Shier – Sushi to Go

A reminder to all members who are planning to submit images for the selection committee for the “Lonsdale” display at the Centennial Theatre.  Please bring 4×6″ images – a maximum of 6 prints, to the Monday, April 23rd’s meeting.  Images will be selected the following week and the photographers will be notified by email if they are chosen to make and frame a larger image for the display.

This Sunday, April 22, the Richmond Pacific Zone Print Competition will be held at the Richmond Arts Centre, Minoru Boulevard, starting at 1:00.  There is a $7.00 per person admission to this event, but it is a very worthwhile event to watch with many interesting photographs from clubs all around the lower mainland.
